Visitors are curious about this new tool and want to know when it is becoming operational (this is not yet known). The feedback has been very positive so far and most users appreciate the user-friendly interface based on Google Earth which is indeed the main benefit of this tool which even non-ATM people can easily use.

The next monitors let you enter into the world of EAD, the European AIS Database service. Guido Haesevoets and Volodymyr Karpenko will introduce you to the digital NOTAM concept, excepted to be operational in Europe during 2012 (more about digital NOTAM)
Frequent questions from visitors include the option of using EAD applications in the future to manage digital NOTAM, and learning more about AIXM 5.1, the data model used for displaying digital NOTAM information.

SESAR network management
SESAR network management unveiled with Francoise and Gerard
Back to the future now! Thanks to Francoise Guenin and Gerard Mavoian, I got a glimpse of what may happen to European ATM network management in a SESAR environment.
The SESAR concept elements presented at the stand consist mainly in identifying new network management roles, in particular introducing sub-regional network managers into the current equation, and giving aircraft operators a more prominent role than today. It incorporates 4D business trajectory and collaborative management of time to arrival (TTA) to give a more realistic picture of what network management after 2020 could be like.
To illustrate this future, they use a simulation tool called DARTIS which you can see a demonstration of at the EUROCONTROL stand.
