On Wednesday 9 March, between 13:30 and 14:30, EUROCONTROL hosted on its stand a reception for the launch of its yearbook on interoperability.
“As we plan changes, whether it’s under NextGen, SESAR or any other programme, we must make sure that we do so in consultation with our colleagues around the world. We cannot insist that an aircraft carries several sets of avionics for use as it flies from one continent to another. And this is a real issue right now, because the next couple of decades are going to see a revolution in the way that air traffic management is performed”, stated David McMillan, EUROCONTROL’s Director General, in his foreword.
